His Story

In July of 2023, Brother Johnathon Emanuelson made a defining and courageous commitment: he professed his final vows as a De La Salle Christian Brother, becoming the most recent member of the Midwest District to complete that sacred journey of discernment and dedication.

For Br. Johnathon, arriving at this moment was not a quick or simple path. Religious life demands patience, reflection, and a willingness to sit with uncertainty — to discern not just an intellectual conviction but a whole-hearted call. That he made his final vows is a testament to both the depth of his faith and the formation he received along the way.

As one of the youngest Brothers in the Midwest District, Br. Johnathon represents the future of the Lasallian mission — a living reminder that the charism of Saint John Baptist de La Salle continues to draw young men who are willing to give their lives in service to others, particularly to young people in need of education, guidance, and faith.
